You probably never heard that Denzel Washington (SWOON) and his family visited the troups at Brook Army Medical Center, in San Antonio,Texas (BAMC) last week. This is where soldiers that have been evacuated from Germany come to be hospitalized in the States, especially burn victims. They have buildings there called Fisher Houses. The Fisher House is a hotel where soldiers’ families can stay, for little or no charge, while their soldier is staying in the hospital. BAMC has quite a few of these houses on base but as you can imagine, they are almost completely filled most of the time.

While Denzel was visiting BAMC, they gave him a tour of one of the Fisher Houses. He asked how much one of them would cost to build. He took his check book out and wrote a check for the full amount right there on the spot. BAM! The soldiers overseas were amazed to hear this story and want to get the word out to the American public, because it warmed their hearts to hear it.
The question I have is why does Kim Bassinger, Madonna, Sean Penn and other Hollywood types make front page news with their anti-everything America crap and this doesn’t even make page 3 in the Metro section of any newspaper except the base newspaper in San Antonio

Some would rather watch train wrecks in progress and send mean nasty hate mail to Justin. Losers.

  1. I totally just got mentioned in you blog!! That’s so cool. *HUG*

  2. Not at all surprised to hear this about Denzel, not at all. Thanks for posting it so we would hear about it. WHY WHY WHY has Tom Cruise getting shot in face w/ water gun making news and this is not. Sad waste of print and / or air space.

  3. The real story can be found at: http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/denzel.asp

  4. Well I guess that kind of explains why it wasn’t in the paper. What really sucks is that so many kids get kidnapped every year, and the only one’s that we hear about are the white ones that will get the best ratings.

  5. Leave it to my brother in law “anon” to know this. He’s the only other person to have more useless knowledge and trivia floating around his head than me.

  6. NO, it’s not a fake. ABC 13 or KPRC 2 in Houston ran this a few days ago with some video and audio clips. I saw it why I was on the treadmill on the 6:30am news.
